The Engineering Council Examinations have been replaced by the City and Guilds Graduate Diploma 9210

This is equivalent to a degree and will satisfy most professional institutions requirements for Chartered Engineer status.

This is a new course. One institution offering this course in the UK is APSS International College of Engineering

In order to become a Chartered Engineer, Incorporated Engineer, or Engineering Technician.

You should :

  • be a member of a relevant professional institution.

  • decide which institution is best for you. (All institutions are governed by the Engineering Council.)

  • find the appropriate level of membership based on your existing qualifications and experience.

  • enrol on a course to improve your qualifications.

  • find out which course you need to follow in order to progress towards C. Eng status.

BRITISH NATIONAL AND HIGHER NATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

 

Non degree exams such as HND and HNC in the U.K. are governed by the EDEXCEL organisation with courses available widely at colleges throughout the UK and overseas. You will find open learning courses in engineering are available from Teeside University and Logis-Tech Associates
